Miika Korja

Environmental Economist

Miika has four years of experience in the field of ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) analysis, environmental economics and policy, green and social bonds as well as impact reporting. He holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a focus on climate change science, economics and policy. He is also a United World College alumnus from UWC Mahindra College in India and currently serves as the Treasurer of the UWC Finland National Committee Board.

Previously, Miika worked as a Partner at Affirmative Investment Management in London, the world’s first dedicated impact bond fund manager. In addition, he has volunteered with an ecotourism organisation in the Bolivian Amazon, has led a team fighting wildfires in India and has worked on education innovation in the US. He has recently been invited to discuss impact investing in panel discussions at the LSE, University of Oxford and University of St. Andrews.
