Design methods have traditionally been used to solve product development tasks. Design thinking and co-design methods can also help solve more strategic and abstract challenges related to sustainable development of the Arctic. From challenges to solutions through design The workshop will demonstrate how a specific, concrete sustainable development challenge identified by the panelists in Wednesday’s plenary session What does Sustainable Development mean for the next arctic generation? can be tackled using design thinking methods. Try design methods yourself We invite you to try design methods out yourself. The workshop is open for 20 participants. When full, anyone can come follow the workshop process. The workshop is organised by University of Lapland Faculty of Art and Design and Arctic Sustainable Art and Design Thematic Network ASAD of UArctic.
