The topic of Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit 2021: A common Arctic or contested spaces? Perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of the Barents and Arctic cooperation

 

Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit Conference 2021 is a place where the Arctic meets Europe. The conference discusses current and future developments in the Arctic with focus on European Arctic regions.

 

The themes include:

  • The international public launch of Finnish presidency of the Barents Euro-Arctic Council
  • Arctic security
  • Regional cooperation with focus on Barents, Finland and the European Union in the Arctic

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we will be offering a limited amount of places for on-site attendance. The event is subject to regional Covid-19 health and safety restrictions, and changes to conference arrangements may occur at short notice. This is why we have opted for a hybrid-model for the event. Online attendance is a good option if you want to secure your place at the conference!
